Lsat week I only lost 2 3/4 lbs....soooo close! I was thinking I might be closer to 4...hoping for 5. But alas, I did not. I don't really understand. I follow my plan exactly, with the exception of maybe being short by 10oz water a day or two. And I don't always remember to take my supplements, but that shouldn't matter, right?
I guess the good news in all this is that the only plateaus I have had only lasted at most two days. I was so worried about the last one that I went in for a 4th weigh in. And much to the relief of my mind, I had lost a whole pound. :)
I'm still holding my breathe to see if I can hit at least 3lbs this week. I better be able to!!

Plateau...what plateau??!
Last Monday when I went in I had not lost, at all. It was the same as it was on Friday. I wasn't too concerned, but just to be sure, the next day I drank 20 oz extra water. Sure enough, today I was down 2 1/4 lbs!! I reached my 15 lbs milestone!!! Wooohooooooo!!! Yay me! (hehe)

Still losing...
I was a little concerned that I've lost so little the last few weeks, but my counselor reassured me. She said that most people will plateau at 4weeks, but I should take comfort in the fact that I'm still losing. So, I guess, yay me! ;)

The gym....
Oh how I miss going to my weight lifting classes, the thrill of "upping" the wieghts, meeting with my trainer, etc. It was suggested that I not lift wieghts as it would confuse the scale. Instead I should be switching to cardio exercizing. "Should" being the opperative word. I used to go at 5am and join the group fitness class. Now I find that if I don't have the group setting, and thus don't have to get up at o'dark thirty, it's easier for me to skip it. The options just aren't what I would like them to be. So, I'm holding my breathe until my 20 weeks is over and I can lift weights again. Luckily it's Springtime now and I can take the kiddos for a walk or for a bike ride!!

Easter...
Holidays are always interesting when you're on a diet, huh? I wasn't too concerned about dinner this time, though. I hate ham. But oh, the chocolate! I was sufficed with a Choc Mint Bar for my mid-am snack, which I really, really enjoyed! I did, however, later allow myself a nibble of my hubby's choc chip cookie, and then a little later a nibble of my son's choc candy. Luckily though, the nibbles were smaller than an infant's portion! I just wanted to savor the choc in my mouth, and then I was good. I was also able to finish my 80 oz water early so I treated myself to cherry pomegranite Crystal Light. Yummmy! Good thing about Easter food? Egg Salad!! I made a sandwich...2 starch, 1 protein, 1 fat, and a whole lot of YUM! Greatest victory this weekend...my mother noticed I'm not only getting smaller, but that I'm eating healthy. Not only did she notice, she verbalized it!! (Big deal coming from my mother!)
The Cookbook is Here!
I finally gave in and got the cookbook and now I wonder what I was thinking trying to make it without it! I'm no culinary genius! Now I'm having fun figuring out which recipes I do like, and which ones I'll work on later...haha! I've discovered that I really do like zucchini and eggplant. Especially roasted with Mrs. Dash's seasonings!! A counselor told me that my tastes would change, guess this is the start. Who knew I'd enjoy vegetables?
Week Two
Wow, how quickly week two came and went!! I was really streesed as I had a few guests in our two bdrm apt...four guests actually. Luckily three of them were under the age of 8 and didn't take up too much space! haha! I was concerned how the added stress would affect my weight loss journey, so luckily I had the counselors at Slimgenics to talk me through the wieght loss aspect. There may have been a little water retention, but there was weight loss! A total of 5.5 lbs!! My household size is back to normal and some of the other stress has been...well, postponed shall we say? Hopefully this means another great week!
first scale setback...
At the end of week 1 I was back up a little, leaving my total week one weight loss at 3.5 lbs. All in all, not a bad week!
